Went down to the River Walk in Downtown Detroit today. It was a great time. The whole trip was meant to teach a friend of mine how to use his camera and how to shoot in manual mode. Today was pretty much his first day ever using a DSLR camera. It was truly an awesome time. We got some pretty cool images, and he got the hang of using the DSLR in manual mode pretty quickly which was awesome! He was changing his exposure on his own after a while and really started getting the hang of it after a few quick lessons shooting a stick bug in the parking lot where we parked. Once we got his comfort level to a good spot, we headed down to the River Walk. If you have never been to Downtown Detroit, you need to check it out sometime. Detroit used to have such a bad reputation, but it has really become quite the place to be. The day couldn't have been better to get such amazing shots either. After about 4 or 5 solid hours of walking around and finding some cool things to shoot, we wrapped it up and headed home!
